(Worthy News) – An American health expert is warning that the Chinese Coronavirus could soon ‘take a foothold in the US,’ where so far only 13 cases of the virus have been identified.

The virus saw its largest death toll in a single day on Wednesday, when Chinese authorities reported that 242 people had died in Hubei province, raising the total death toll to 1,310 and the number of infections to 45,000.

“At some point, we are likely to see community spread in the US or in other countries,” said Dr. Nancy Messonnier of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “This will trigger a change in our response strategy.”

The previous record for deaths by the virus on a single day was 103 on Feb. 10, though only two deaths have been reported so far outside of mainland China.

China is the number 23 persecutor of Christians worldwide, according to Open Doors USA, though it is said to be exporting the “system of persecution for the future” to other anti-Christian regimes.
