Biden Announces Strict New COVID-19 Rules for Unvaccinated Federal Workers

(Worthy News) – The Biden administration on Thursday said that federal workers and contractors will have to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or wear masks, engage in social distancing, or submit to regular COVID-19 testing.

In a statement released by the White House, the administration said the new rules were laid out because of the Delta COVID-19 variant.

“Anyone who does not attest to being fully vaccinated will be required to wear a mask on the job no matter their geographic location, physically distance from all other employees and visitors, comply with a weekly or twice weekly screening testing requirement, and be subject to restrictions on official travel,” said the White House in a fact sheet. Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate draws postal union backlash

The influential American Postal Workers Union on Wednesday said that at this point, it opposes a coronavirus vaccine mandate from the Biden administration but encouraged workers to voluntarily take the jabs.

“While the APWU leadership continues to encourage postal workers to voluntarily get vaccinated, it is not the role of the federal government to mandate vaccinations for the employees we represent,” the union said in a statement obtained by Fox News. [ Source: Fox News (Read More…) ]
