(Worthy News) – Arkansas State Sen. Jason Rapert (R-Conway) is preparing to introduce a pro-life heartbeat bill, like the new Texas law, when the Arkansas General Assembly meets in a special session on Monday, Oct. 25.
Rapert has said his bill will “mirror” the Texas law, which went into effect on Sept. 1.
The heartbeat legislation basically says that abortions are prohibited after the unborn baby’s heartbeat is detected through an ultrasound. This usually occurs about 6 weeks into a pregnancy. Exceptions are allowed in cases where the mother’s life is threatened. [ Source: CNS News (Read More…) ]
