(Worthy News) – Flyers blaming the COVID-19 pandemic on Jews were hand-delivered to hundreds of homes in Florida on January 22-23 while, that same weekend, a group identifying as Nazis demonstrated at an intersection in the state’s Orange County, shouting anti-Semitic slurs against Jews.

Delivered in Miami Beach and Surfside, cities with large Jewish populations, the flyers read: ‘Every single aspect of the COVID agenda is Jewish,’ the Associated Press reports. The flyers then name health officials and experts who are leading the fight against COVID-19, listing them as being Jewish.

In a tweet on January 23, Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber said “This morning hundreds of homes in our community found plastic bags outside their homes filled with a hateful anti-Semitic flyer. @MiamiBeachPD is actively investigating to determine their origin. As a precaution we’ve increased patrols in our neighborhoods and at religious institutions…There is no place for this in our community & we will do all we can to make that point clear.”

A day earlier, over a dozen people draped a large Nazi Swastika flag and a large ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ anti-Joe Biden banner over the Daryl Carter Parkway overpass in Orlando, and shouted anti-semitic slogans, Local10 reports. The group was disbanded by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, which issued a statement saying it is illegal to hang banners at overpasses.

In a statement about the incident, Orange County Sheriff John Mina said any criminal activity carried out by the Nazi demonstrators would be prosecuted, Local10 reported. “I, along with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deplore any type of hate speech,” Mina added in a tweet. “This hatred has no place in our society.”
