(Worthy News) – Three different pro-life centers have been firebombed, and numerous others vandalized since the May 2nd leak of a draft opinion indicating the US Supreme Court may overturn Roe v. Wade, a 1973 case that legalized abortion nationally.

On May 8 in Madison, Wisconsin, arsonists attacked the Wisconsin Family Action center with firebombs and spray-painted a wall with the phrase: “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.” Also on May 8, arsonists in Keizer, Oregon threw two firebombs into the Oregon Right to Life office. This attack took place three days after vandals caused extensive damage to the Pregnancy Resource Center in Portland.

Less than a month after these attacks, arsonists on Tuesday set fire to the CompassCare pregnancy center in Amherst, New York.

Other pro-life centers in the District of Columbia, Washington state, Maryland, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Texas, have been subjected to spray-painted pro-abortion graffiti on their walls in the weeks since the leaked Supreme Court opinion, the Washington Times said.

While no one has been hurt in the spate of attacks, there are grave concerns the situation will worsen if and when the Supreme Court does overturn Roe v Wade.

In a statement Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security warned the spate of violent incidents could increase: “Given a high-profile U.S. Supreme Court case about abortion rights, individuals who advocate both for and against abortion have, on public forums, encouraged violence, including against government, religious, and reproductive healthcare personnel and facilities, as well as those with opposing ideologies,” the National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin explained.
