Powerful magnitude 7.6 earthquake shakes Mexico
(Worthy News) – A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck the central part of Mexico on Monday afternoon.
The earthquake occurred about 23 miles southeast of Aquila, Mexico, near the boundary of Colima and Michoacan states, spanning about 9 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
In an analysis of the damage, USGS found a significant amount of area was affected by the earthquake for landslides and a limited area affected for liquefaction, and a limited amount of the population was exposed to both. [ Source: Washington Examiner (Read More…) ]
