(Worthy News) – The International Christian Concern (ICC) nonprofit human rights organization reported Sunday it had just received a video of the Taliban beheading a Christian man in Afghanistan.

Reporting on its receipt of the video (which has been posted on the ICC website with a warning), ICC said atrocities such as this beheading occur as part of “a great spiritual battle” between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. “In persecution ministry, we regularly see this warfare,” ICC said.

Concerning the conduct of the Taliban, who told the world they have changed, ICC said: “We expect this type of persecution to continue as the Taliban show their true despicable colors… Words cannot express how sickening and evil this was.”

“Please keep our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East in prayer,” ICC added. “That they would courageously share their faith. Pray also for their oppressors – radical Muslims – that they would trust in Jesus. With your help, we continue to fight for and rescue Christians in Afghanistan and beyond.”

Since the Taliban takeover of the country in August last year, Afghanistan ranks number one on the US Open Doors World Watch List 2022 of the top 50 countries that are most dangerous for Christians to live in.
