Islamic Jihad calls on Israeli Arabs to launch armed uprising against Israel

(Worthy News) – With tensions already running extremely high amid increased Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis and counter-terrorist offensives by the Israel Defense Forces, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group has called on Israeli Arabs to launch a third “intifada” – deadly armed uprising – against Israel, i24 News reports. The First Intifada took place between 1987-1991, while the Second Intifada began in 2000 and lasted until 2005.

During a speech made on Monday in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Abu Hamza warned: “the Islamic Jihad will cause the stupid enemy to be worn down by launching rockets in its direction since the organization has many other means of warfare that will hurt the enemy,” i24 News reports.

“We call on all the fighters among our people and the free people in the West Bank and Israel to mobilize for this war so that there will be an overall intifada that will create the basis for the end of our enemy and its expulsion from all of Palestine,” Hamza continued.

“We will turn the so-called Gaza envelope, including cities and the occupied colonies, into a place that cannot be lived in, and we will launch rockets to ever further ranges,” Hamza said.

Notably, the call to an official Palestinian uprising comes as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the Jewish Passover are soon to begin on March 22 and April 5, respectively.
