Yesh Atid delegation says it urged Herzog to push for creation of Israeli constitution
(Worthy News) – Following the first round of talks with President Isaac Herzog to reach a compromise on judicial reform, the Yesh Atid delegation says they pushed for a significant reform — including a constitution.
“We told the president that in the 75th year of the State of Israel, we can make a real change — not just cosmetic fixes, but a widely agreed upon constitution based on the values of the Declaration of Independence,” according to a statement from the delegation.
The delegation says it is seeking to come to a “broad consensus of public representatives to reflect a national consensus of the citizens of Israel.” [ Source: Times of Israel (Read More…) ]
