KYIV/MOSCOW (Worthy News) – Ukraine said Friday it had attacked a Russian Black Sea fleet ship and put it out of action after Kyiv warned it would bring the ongoing war on Ukrainian territory to Russia.

Ukraine’s intelligence services claimed its sea drone attack seriously damaged the Olenegorsky Gornyak and that it currently is unable to carry out combat missions.

An intelligence source said Ukraine’s SBU security service and navy were responsible for the attack.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed it halted overnight Ukrainian attacks on a naval base in the Black Sea and the Crimean peninsula, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

A video seen by Worthy News showed the Novorossiysk naval base with a Russian military vessel badly listing to one side.

The attack came after an 85-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were injured due to the Russian night shelling of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

SEVERAL VICTIMS

More than 20 private houses, two trucks, and a car were reportedly damaged in the city.

Also at night, Russian troops hit the building of the boiler room of the pathology department of one of the Kherson hospitals, officials said.

Over the past day, nine people were reportedly injured due to Russian shelling in the Kherson region, while two persons died and two were wounded in the Donetsk region.

Separately one person was injured in Zaporizhzhia, the area where Russian forces have occupied Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.

Over the past day, nine people were injured due to Russian shelling in the Kherson region, while two were wounded in the Donetsk region.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine last year, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and injured, while millions have been displaced.
