(Worthy News) – The slaughter and kidnapping of Christians in Nigeria by Islamic terrorists continues unabated: 15 Christians were murdered and 32 kidnapped in Kaduna State on Friday, Morning Star News (MSN) reports.

In Friday’s attack, Fulani herdsmen raided Dogon Noma village in Kajuru County, southern Kaduna state, and shot to death 15 people before taking off with those they then abducted.

“Fulani herdsmen surrounded the village in their hundreds, shooting anybody in sight; the attack occurred at about 7 a.m.,” local resident David Musa told MSN in a text message. “Pray for the Dogon Noma community.”

In a separate statement to MSN, Ernest Maidawa, a youth leader in the area, referenced the ongoing terror that Christians in Nigeria are subjected to. “We are saddened with these renewed acts of attacks and gruesome killings of innocent Christians in the Dogon Noma community by Fulani herdsmen,” Maidawa said.

Calling on the authorities to take action, Maidawa added: “We are urging law enforcement agencies as a matter of urgency to check the spate of these attacks on innocent Christians in our communities. Governments both at state and federal levels in Nigeria must also be seen to be doing more as they have not shown capacity in their core mandate and responsibilities to protect lives and properties.”

Nigeria ranks 6th on the US Open Doors World Watch List 2023 of the top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted.
