(Worthy News) – While warning a small number of terrorists may still be on Israeli soil, the Israel Defense Forces announced Tuesday that, some 72 hours following Saturday’s devastating surprise attack by Hamas terrorists against Israeli civilians, Israel’s border with Gaza has finally been sealed,  the Times of Israel (TOI) reports.

The attack launched by the Palestinian Islamic rulers of the Gaza Strip resulted in the slaughter of over 1000, mostly civilian, Israelis including elderly women, children, and babies, some of whom were beheaded. The terrorists launched the coordinated attack at around 6.30am on October 7, entering Israel by land, by sea, and by air on motorized hang gliders.

In addition to the deaths, and thousands of wounded, the disaster saw more than 100 civilians, including children and elderly women, being kidnapped and taken as captives to Gaza.

After protracted battles with Hamas terrorists inside Israeli communities, the IDF said Tuesday that the border was now sealed, with mined areas to stop further invasions. “In the last day, not a single terrorist entered via the fence,” IDF top spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a statement.

In a separate statement, Lt. Col. Richard Hecht of the IDF said the military had found the bodies of 1,500 terrorists inside southern Israel since the incursions, TOI reports. The military is still checking to ensure there are no more terrorists on Israeli land.
