Israeli Forces Launch Decisive Advance into the Heart of Gaza City (Video)

(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is engaged in a heavy conflict with Hamas in the heart of Gaza City. Over the past few days, the IDF have discovered the extent of the terror infrastructure built by terrorists organization over the years, which was describe by Israel as the “largest terrorist base” ever constructed.
“This entire city is one big terror base. There are kilometers of tunnels underground. They connect to hospitals, to schools. They are connected to each other. They have communication rooms, ammunition depots, places to sleep in order to serve as a base of terrorism from which the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF soldiers can be harmed,” said Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The IDF’s 162nd Division of infantry, armor, and engineering forces, supported by Israel Air Force (IAF) and special forces, launched a decisive raid on the Hamas military quarter in the heart of Gaza City, near Shifa Hospital, an IDF spokesman stated.
Over the past few days, the Givati Brigade of the IDF has tirelessly worked to clear the region, destroying the terrorist infrastructure, including an extensive underground tunnel network. Engaging in fierce combat, they successfully eliminated over 50 terrorists in the area, according to the IDF.
Furthermore, the IDF states, there was the discovery of military intelligence documents, along with the destruction of a significant number of tunnel shafts. Additionally, facilities responsible for manufacturing anti-tank missiles and launch posts for anti-aircraft rockets were effectively destroyed.
According to the IDF, it seized control of military quarter in Gaza City including the central intelligence headquarters and the aerial array headquarters of the organization.
The mentioned terrorist infrastructures are situated near civilian facilities like schools, kindergartens, medical clinics, and mosques. This serves as additional evidence of the terrorist organization exploiting the residents of the Gaza Strip as human shields for their deadly activities, stated the IDF. If proven true, this would constitute a violation of the 1949 Geneva Convention Accords.
