(Worthy News) – A new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll shows that, since the Oct. 7 genocidal attack on Israel by Hamas, over 50% of American young adults believe Israel should be erased and the land it is on given to Hamas and the Palestinians, Israel365 News report.

According to the poll, 81% of American adults overall support Israel in its war against Hamas, Israel365 reports. However, 51% of respondents aged 18 to 24 said Israel should be “ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians.”

Somewhat contradictorily, 66% of young adults said they believe that the Hamas slaughter of over 1,200 Israelis constitutes genocide, Israel365 reports. On the other hand, 60% of respondents aged 18-24 said Palestinian grievances justified the Hamas massacre.

Although 58% of respondents aged 18-24 understand that Hamas’ stated aim is to destroy Jews and Israel, 76% of this age group believe Israel can negotiate with Hamas for peace, Israel365 reports. Among the totality of respondents, 64% of American adults said they believe Hamas is aiming for the destruction of Israel.

Sixty percent of young adult respondents said Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza in its war against Hamas. This compared to just 37% of Americans overall who believe Israel was committing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza, Israel365 reports.
