PARIS (Worthy News) – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has ordered media to be careful when addressing athletes by gender or marital status ahead of the Olympics in Paris this summer, Worthy News learned late Wednesday.

The IOC says in guidelines that “biological male” or “biological female” should be avoided as it is “problematic.” Also, “a person’s sex category is not assigned based on genetics alone, and aspects of a person’s biology can be altered when they pursue gender-affirming medical care,” according to sources familiar with the guidelines.

The IOC provides guidance on how to write about women that’s not “sexist.”

The guide also mentioned gender pay gaps, how the appearances of females are more commented on, and features IOC leaders complaining about gender discrimination.

They say “humankind” should be used rather than “mankind.” Also, “partner/spouse” should replace terms like “husband/wife.”

Terms that should be avoided: Born male, born female, biologically male, biologically female, genetically male, genetically female, male-to-female (MtF), female-to-male (FtM), identifies as, sex change, and transsexual, Worthy News established.
GAY AND LESBIANS

GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, reportedly helped write the guidelines.

Steve McConkey, president of the worldwide Christian evangelism sports group 4 WINDS USA, counters the LGBTQ sports movement.

“The IOC continues to show their true colors,” said McConkey, a former USA National Track and Field Club Coach.

He claimed the IOC pushes “radical agendas” and allows the Olympics to be in countries “that persecute Christians while working with the United Nations.

“They were granted observer status by the United Nations to implement the U.N. Millennium Development Goals. Individual athletes need to concentrate on their events, and Christians need to share Christ despite the Olympic Committee’s efforts.”

In 2003, McConkey started “fighting against the International Olympic Committee’s transgender policies.” He said he was the 0only one who stood against this publicly.”

WORLD ATHLETICS

From there, the transgender movement spread to state high schools and the U.S. sports organizations NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL.

“After years of standing up, World Athletics (track and field) and World Aquatics (swimming), plus other sports, banned transgender people from participating at the international level. Twenty-five states have passed anti-transgender athlete bills,” his group said.

On October 4, 2023, McConkey spoke at three hearings for Wisconsin state legislators. Two bills were against transgender athletes on high school and college teams.

The third bill was against transgender surgeries and hormone treatments for those under eighteen.

The bills passed the Assembly and Senate, but the state governor vetoed them.
