(Worthy News) – Since the war in Gaza began last October, Israel reported on Monday that 500 transport planes and 107 ships have delivered over 50,000 tons of armaments and military equipment from the United States to Israel.

The U.S. has continued supplying Israel with arms, despite growing calls from critics to halt these shipments due to the increasing reports of rising death tolls in Gaza.

The Israeli Defense Ministry stated that the military equipment delivered to Israel since the start of the war includes “armored vehicles, munitions, ammunition, personal protection gear, and medical equipment.”

The ministry described the operation as a “large-scale logistical effort,” coordinated by the Directorate of Production and Procurement, the ministry’s mission to the U.S., the IDF’s Planning Directorate, and the Israeli Air Force.

In April, U.S. President Joe Biden signed a $17 billion aid package into law, reaffirming his commitment to providing Israel with the resources necessary to defend itself against Iran and its proxies.

However, the Biden administration initially withheld shipments of some heavy bombs from Israel due to concerns over the Israeli incursion into Rafah in southern Gaza last spring. Since then, part of that shipment has been released.
