(Worthy News) – Daily attacks by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization on Israeli targets, ongoing since October 7, reached their highest point in August, according to data released by the Shin Bet security agency on Thursday.

According to Army Radio, statistics compiled by Israel’s domestic intelligence service, Shin Bet, revealed that 1,307 rockets were fired at Israel from the northern front, including Lebanon and Syria, in August. This amounts to an average of just over 40 rockets per day, with the vast majority originating from Lebanon.

According to Army Radio, the surge in Hezbollah attacks aligns with an increase in Israeli airstrikes targeting and eliminating Hezbollah operatives. In August, 51 terrorists from various groups, primarily Hezbollah, were killed – a significant rise compared to previous months.

More than 80,000 residents from northern border communities have been evacuated since the war began, remaining displaced from their homes for nearly a year. Many have accused the government of not doing enough to combat Hezbollah and ensure their safe return home.
