Israeli Killed, Three Wounded In Judea and Samaria Attack After UN Backs Trump Gaza Plan

JERUSALEM (Worthy News) — Palestinian attackers killed an Israeli man and wounded three others in a combined ramming-and-stabbing assault in Judea and Samaria (also known as the West Bank) on Tuesday, shortly after the United Nations Security Council endorsed U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s peace initiative for Gaza, Israeli officials said.
Troops shot both assailants at the scene in what the Israeli military described as the latest incident in a wave of violence rocking the region. The attack occurred at the Gush Etzion Junction south of Jerusalem, a location long targeted by Palestinian militants.
The assault followed reported settler attacks on Palestinians across Judea and Samaria in recent days, prompting Israeli President Isaac Herzog and senior security officials to condemn what they called “shocking” and destabilizing violence.
Tuesday’s killings came as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that unrest in the West Bank could spill over and undermine the fragile truce in Gaza, complicating international efforts to stabilize the Strip.
UN BACKS GAZA BLUEPRINT
The attack occurred within 24 hours after the U.N. Security Council voted to endorse Trump’s plan to secure and govern Gaza through a transitional authority and a multinational stabilization force.
The plan aims to end the devastating war between Israel and Hamas, which broke out after Hamas attacked the Jewish nation on October 7, 2023, killing more than 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages.
However, Hamas rejected the Trump blueprint, calling it “an imposed arrangement,” while several nations signaled readiness to help implement it.
Israeli officials said Tuesday’s attack unfolded when the assailants rammed a vehicle into civilians at the Gush Etzion Junction before exiting and stabbing bystanders. One victim later died of his wounds, while three others were hospitalized in Jerusalem, officials said.
Explosive devices were reportedly found in the attackers’ vehicle, according to military sources.
