(Worthy News) – Federal authorities have rescued 7,200 children from traffickers and predators under the Trump administration, marking a 42 percent increase from the previous administration, FBI Director Kash Patel said in a June 25 update.

Patel said law enforcement officials also arrested 3,500 suspected predators and traffickers, a 102 percent increase from the prior administration.

“If you mean to bring harm to the most precious and innocent among us — our children — We Will Find You!” Patel wrote in a post on X.

A video shared with Patel’s post said federal and local agencies had launched “massive task forces” aimed at dismantling trafficking networks and targeting offenders across the country. The video said eight of the FBI’s 10 most wanted fugitives had been captured in 17 months, nearly twice the number of arrests recorded during the Biden administration.

“There’s nowhere left for these predators to hide,” the video stated. “People can argue all they want, but the numbers don’t lie. With the FBI leading the charge, the hunters are now the hunted, and our families are finally protected.”

The announcement follows Patel’s March statement that the FBI had arrested 1,700 child predators in 2025, taken more than 300 human traffickers into custody, dismantled networks tied to the online predator group known as 764, and terminated more than 3.8 million pedophile accounts on the dark web.

“We rebuilt the FBI, surging agents out of D.C. and into communities, expanding intel sharing, and deploying cutting-edge tech and AI to hunt predators faster than ever,” Patel said at the time. “Under President Donald Trump’s leadership, we remain relentless in protecting children and will not slow down.”

The FBI’s intensified enforcement push comes as child exploitation threats continue to grow online. In a September 2025 post, the FBI said nearly 30,000 children were reported missing in 2024, citing data from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

NCMEC also warned June 25 that children are increasingly being targeted through financially motivated sextortion, a crime in which offenders threaten to publicly share nude or sexual images unless the victim pays money or complies with further demands.

The organization said it received more than 50,000 reports of financially motivated sextortion in 2025, up from more than 36,000 reports in 2024.

NCMEC warned that offenders are moving conversations more quickly to private messaging platforms and encrypted apps, making the abuse harder to detect before children are trapped in fear and shame.

“When talking to the children in your life about the dangers of financial sextortion, remind them that if this should ever happen to them, they need to get help before deciding whether to pay money or comply with the blackmailer,” NCMEC said. “Cooperating or paying rarely stops blackmail.”

The organization also stressed that victims must not be blamed.

“Victims of sextortion may feel overwhelmed or that there is no way out, but there is hope,” NCMEC said. “If this happens to a child in your life, remember that the blackmailer is to blame, not the child.”

For parents, churches, schools, and communities, the warning is clear: predators are becoming more sophisticated, but federal authorities say they are now bringing greater force, intelligence sharing, and technology to the fight.

In a nation where children remain among the most vulnerable, the latest figures point to a renewed law enforcement campaign against those who prey upon the innocent.
