TEHRAN, IRAN (Worthy News)– Six Farsi-speaking Christians who were arrested while celebrating Easter are still being held in custody at an unknown location, according to Mohabat News.

After Iranian plain-clothes agents raided a home on Easter during a private worship service, they arrested Ehsan Sadeghi, Nazi Irani, Maryam Assadi, Ali Arfa’e, Vahid Safi and Amin Mazloomi who were all then whisked away to parts unknown. More than a month after the raid, these Christian detainees have not been officially charged and officials have refused to give any reason for their arrests.

An increasing number of converts from Islam have become a concern for the Islamic regime that has shut down many official churches in Iran; as a result, Christians have met in house churches to worship and study the Bible.
