US commandos capture Benghazi suspect (Video)

WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News)– U.S. Special Forces captured one of the alleged leaders of the 2012 assault on an U.S. Consulate in Benghazi in a secret raid in Libya over the weekend.

Ahmed Abu Khattala is a senior figure in Ansar al-Shariah, a jihadist group in Libya, was captured Sunday by American troops.  Khatallah is the first suspect to be arrested after a nearly two-year manhunt seeking those responsible for killing U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens along with three other Americans.

The U.S. filed criminal charges against Khattala last year and announced a $10 million reward for information leading to his arrest.  He is expected to be brought before a federal court in Washington to face charges.

At least another dozen other men charged in connection with the attack remain at large.

The latest CNN poll found only 37 percent of Americans are satisfied with the administration’s response to the deadly terror attacks in Benghazi.
