Israel Kills Two Senior Members of a Terrorist Organization
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (Worthy News)– The Israel Air Force (IAF) targeted and killed two senior members of a terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.
Muhammad al-Fasih and Usama al-Hassumi, senior members of Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, were responsible for rockets launched at Israel last week.
The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) are composed primarily of ex-Fatah fighters and al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades members and is considered a terrorist organization by Israel and the United States.
Over the past few years Hassumi and Fasih were responsible for several terrorist attacks and planning further attacks against Israel and its citizens, Israel officials stated.
“Militants like Hassumi and Fasih, attacking Israel from Gaza, are not safe, do not have immunity, and will not be free to plan, plot and operate. We will continue to strike the instigators and agitators with patience, determination and precision. Gaza rocket terrorism does not pay,” said IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner.
Over the past two weeks, terrorists have fired over twenty rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip.
“We don’t intend to ignore any fire at Israel or any attempt to hurt our citizens and the IDF’s soldiers. We will chase after, and strike with a heavy hand, anyone who hurts or plans to hurt us, as we have done today,” Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said.
