Iran: Christian prisoner faces new charges
By Joseph DeCaro, Worthy News Correspondent
(Worthy News) – In lieu of his medical treatments, an Iranian Christian in Rajai Shahr Prison, north-west of Tehran, Iran, was instead given five more years in prison.
According to the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Ebrahim Firouzi was first arrested by agents of the Islamic Republic on Aug. 25, 2013; he was later condemned by a court in Robat Karim to one year in prison and two years of exile in Sarbaz County. But though his term ended last January, Firouzi was kept in prison after new charges of “acting against national security” were levied against him.
Firouzi is currently in Ward 10 of Gohardasht Prison.
