(Worthy News) – Muslim Fulani herdsmen killed 13 Christians in Plateau State, Nigeria on Wednesday, Jan. 8, adding to a body count that has seen scores of Christian farmers murdered by the pastoralists in the last few years.

Raiders from the predominantly Muslim ethnic group that spans West Africa forced residents to flee the Christian village of Kulben into the surrounding forests when they entered the village and began firing in all directions.

“This attack on my people by these herdsmen comes as a rude shock to us, as efforts have been made by security agencies to curtail such incessant attacks on our people,” said Bala Fwengje, a local Nigerian lawmaker.

The UK-based Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) found that over 1,000 Christians were killed in Nigeria in 2019 by the combined Islamic extremist efforts of Boko Haram, the West African ISIS, and the Muslim Fulani herder group.
