Hamas calls for new uprising against Israel, leading to three terror attacks

(Worthy News) – Israel has seen a rash of terror attacks since Wednesday, with three isolated incidents occurring over a period of just 12 hours that left soldiers and police wounded, in the wake of Hamas’ call for a new Palestinian uprising.

On Thursday morning a man rammed his car into 12 Israeli soldiers outside the First Station in Jerusalem, terrorists opening fire at police near the entrance to the Temple Mount only hours later.

Terrorists opened fire on a military outpost near the West Bank settlement community of Dolev shortly after the Temple Mount attack, capping off what seemed to be a response to a Hamas statement earlier Wednesday.

“We call for escalating confrontations with the occupation and its settlers and fighting their assaults against the land and holy sites, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Hamas said Wednesday on its website.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan were set to hold separate meetings on how to address the new security situation Thursday.
