Iranian leader sees ‘pretext’ for attacking Israel in death of Soleimani

(Worthy News) – A former leader of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps says Iran has been looking for an excuse to “raze Tel Aviv to the ground,” and has one now following the killing of Qassem Soleimani in January.

Mohsen Rezaei was interviewed on Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen TV Saturday and divulged that Iran has “precise information” on all US troop activity in Middle East down to the fine details of “where they get their meat and their food.”

“We know the number of American ships in the Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman, and where they are in the Persian Gulf, and what they have in Qatar and Bahrain, and their activity in Iraq,” Rezaei said.

He added that Iranian leadership, for whom he serves as an adviser on the high-level Expediency Council, blamed Israel for tipping off US forces to the location of Soleimani at the Baghdad International Airport.

“We were waiting for the Americans to give us a pretext to strike Tel Aviv, just like we attacked Ayn Al-Assad,” he explained.

The number of underground believers has nearly doubled in Iran since 2016, with estimates by some local believers that underground Christianity has as many as three million adherents, as the regime attempts to maintain its 40-year grip on power.
