Israel threatens full war with Palestinian Islamic Jihad in response to rocket attacks

(Worthy News) – A barrage of rockets and mortars fell on Israel Sunday night and Monday morning, all engineered by the Iran-linked Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terror group, and now Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is threatening all-out war.

Almost all of the 40 rockets and mortar shells were intercepted by the Israeli Iron Dome missile defense system, though one hit a playground in Sderot, and schools, roads, and a rail line near the border with the Gaza Strip were shut down by the Israel Defense Forces.

“If you don’t shoot them, we will shoot you,” Netanyahu told Hamas, which has sway over all terrorist activity in Gaza. “I’m talking about a war. I only go to war as a last option but we have prepared something you can’t even imagine.”

In response, the Israeli military struck Palestinian Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza Sunday night as well as in Damascus, where the group is manufacturing “tens of kilograms of [ammonium perchlorate]” each month for rocket attacks on Israel, according to the IDF.
