New Bible translation scrubs references to Israel

(Worthy News) – A new Danish Bible omits the word “Israel” from its pages. Publishers claim that the modern nation of
Israel and the ancient kingdom of Israel have nothing to do with each other.
Breaking Israel News reports that the Danish Bible Society, run by the Evangelical Lutheran Church, recently released a revised New Testament. It translates the famous Greek phrase “Kaine Diatheke” from Luke 22:20 as “the New Agreement,” among other substantial changes.
“New Agreement has all but removed any references to Israel, whether it describes the land or the people,” Danish news service 24NYT reported on Sunday.
A YouTube user called Jan Frost adds that all references but one to the land in the new translation render Israel as “Jews” or “the land of the Jews.”
Many Christian scholars say they understand from passages like Joel 3 and Zechariah 12 that worldwide anti-Israel sentiment will reach its peak before the Lord returns.
