ATLANTA, USA (Worthy News) – Donald J. Trump was becoming the first former U.S. president to be fingerprinted and have his mugshot taken as he surrendered to Fulton County jail in Georgia to face charges of trying to overturn his declared 2020 election loss in the state.

Trump was to return later to enter a plea in court after his bail was set at $200,000.

He denies 13 charges, including racketeering and false statements, and says the charges are politically motivated.

On Wednesday, his former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and other co-defendants surrendered in the same case.

This is Trump’s fourth criminal case as he runs for election again in 2024.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis led a two-year investigation into Trump’s post-election conduct in Georgia. Eventually, she filed 41 charges against him and 18 co-defendants.

Willis is the first female district attorney in Fulton County and is known by friends and foes as a prosecutor capable of securing convictions in high-profile and complex cases.
