(Worthy News) – Thousands of fighters from Iran-backed terror groups across the Middle East are prepared to join Lebanon’s Hezbollah terror organization if its intensifying conflict with Israel develops into an all-out war, the Associated Press reports.

Claiming solidarity with the Palestinians since Hamas committed the Oct. 7 genocidal attack against Israel, Hezbollah has launched hundreds of drones and rockets at northern Israeli towns. Tens of thousands of Israelis have been evacuated from the north because of Hezbollah’s activities. There are now almost daily exchanges of fire between Hezbollah and the IDF along Israel’s border with southern Lebanon.

Officials from Iran-backed groups have now told AP they are ready to join Hezbollah. “Officials from Lebanese and Iraqi groups backed by Iran say Iran-backed fighters from around the region will join in if war erupts on the Lebanon-Israel border,” AP said in its report.

Thousands of these terrorists are already on standby in Syria, ready to cross the vulnerable border with Israel if called to, AP noted.

One official from an Iran-backed group in Iraq told AP: “We will be (fighting) shoulder to shoulder with Hezbollah” in the event of an all-out war between Israel and the Lebanese terrorists.

Another official told AP that fighters from Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, Afghanistan’s Fatimiyoun brigade, Pakistan’s Zeinabiyoun brigade, and the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen could also come to Lebanon to join a war against Israel.
