Pro-life Democrats Condemn Planned Parenthood Mobile Abortion Clinic Outside DNC, “It Overlooks the Need to Provide Support for a Pregnant Woman”

(Worthy News) – The Democrats for Life anti-abortion organization has vehemently condemned the Planned Parenthood abortion provider for offering free abortion pills from a mobile van parked near the ongoing Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, the Christian Post (CP) reports. Abortion giant Planned Parenthood Great Rivers in St. Louis announced last week that its mobile van would be parked near the DNC on Monday and Tuesday, the first two days of this week’s convention.

Protesting Planned Parenthood’s action at the DNC, the Democrats for Life announced Monday that they have launched a diaper drive in response.
“While Planned Parenthood is providing free abortions at the DNC, DEMOCRATS FOR LIFE is conducting a DIAPER DRIVE to support local Chicago families! Help us buy diapers!” the group states on its website.

In a statement about Planned Parenthood’s activity at the DNC, Kristen Day, executive director of Democrats for Life, said: “Providing free abortions at the DNC is a concerning display of disrespect towards human life and motherhood, as it overlooks the need to provide support and options for a pregnant woman. We expect no less from Planned Parenthood. It’s just shameful how low Democrats have sunk.”

In a separate statement, Democrats for Life of America called on Democrats to “stop doing business with Planned Parenthood” and return to the party’s “true roots” of protecting the needy, CP reports. “Instead of funding abortion, we firmly believe in funding alternatives to abortion,” Democrats for Life stated. “This radical act of violence against preborn children and pregnant and parenting persons must be met with radical acts of non-violence in support of those [want] to choose life for their children and families.”
