Baltimore Bridge Collapses After Cargo Ship Hit

One of America’s iconic bridges, a kilometers (miles) long bridge in the U.S. city of Baltimore, collapsed into the Patapsco River early Tuesday after being hit by a container ship, footage showed.

Former U.S. President Wins Request To Reduce Bond To $175 Million

A panel of New York appellate judges came to former U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s aid Monday, ruling that he must post a $175 million bond within ten days. The initial bond of nearly a half billion dollars was decreased by more than $275 million.

More Than 11 million Have Illegally Entered U.S. Since Fiscal 2021

According to U.S. Customs and Border protection data, 9.4 million foreign nationals illegally entered the U.S. in fiscal years 2021, 2022, 2023 and through the end of February 2024. Including another more than 2 million gotaways, reported by The Center Square, combined, they total an estimated 11.4 million, more than the population of 43 U.S. states. They also total more than the population of all individual U.S. cities, including the largest city of New York City, and are greater than the populations of roughly 150 countries.

SCOTUS Declines To Hear Appeal Of Catholic Couple Whose Transgender Teen Was Removed From Their Custody

The US Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear the appeal of a Catholic couple who lost custody of their 16-year-old son after he went against his parent’s religious beliefs and began identifying as a girl, USA Today reports.  Mary and Jeremy Cox of Anderson, Indiana, filed their appeal to the Supreme Court after a two-year-long fight against the state’s removal of their son, who is now no longer a minor.

US: Republican and Democratic Lawmakers Agree To Suspend UNRWA Funding Until 2025

Republican and Democratic US lawmakers have agreed to halt funding to UNRWA, the UN Relief and Works Agency, which provides aid to Palestinians in Gaza, until at least March 2025, i24News reports. The lawmakers’ agreement follows reports that a number of UNRWA staffers participated in the Oct. 7, 2023, genocidal attack on Israel by the Hamas terror group.
