Stefan J. Bos is an award-winning journalist serving as Worthy News’ European Bureau Chief and Chief International Correspondent. Based in Budapest, Hungary, he has reported from the front lines of wars and revolutions across Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans, as well as from countries including Burma, Canada, Georgia, India, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Lebanon, Thailand, and Turkey.
Over his career, Bos has contributed to a wide range of national and international media outlets, including BosNewsLife News Agency, the BBC, CBS News, Voice of America (VOA), Deutsche Welle, Dutch BNR News Radio, the Dutch General News Agency ANP, Dutch Reformed Daily, Challenge Monthly, De Couturekrant, Belgium’s VRT Radio and Television, National Public Radio (NPR), Marketplace Radio, Vatican Radio/Vatican News and CNN Radio, among others.
In recognition of his reporting on foreign policy — including Hungary’s relations with NATO and the European Union — Bos received the Annual Press Award of Merit from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Born in Amsterdam, he grew up “next to — or possibly near — the old-fashioned typewriter” of his father, a fellow journalist, Johan Th. Bos, who introduced him to the profession at an early age.
