A significant and disruptive winter storm will impact millions of Americans from coast-to-coast this week, with heavy snow, blizzard conditions, significant icing, flooding and severe weather all being possible.
A Christian couple leading an urban church ministry in Buffalo, New York, gave shelter to 154 people during the historic deadly blizzard which tore into the area over the 2022 Christmas weekend, the Roys Report said.
President Joe Biden declared a federal emergency Monday for areas of western New York, including Buffalo, that were impacted by the massive blizzard which dumped nearly 50 inches of snow over Christmas weekend, and led to more than 20 deaths.
At least 19 people were killed, and nearly two million customers were without power as America’s coldest Christmas Eve winter storm in living memory paralyzed the nation.
Blizzard and winter storm warnings are in effect Thursday for large portions of the Plains and Midwest, as forecasters from the National Weather Service are warning Americans to avoid travel as the “situation will become life-threatening if vehicles are stranded.”
