Blasts near two churchs kills six Nigerians

SULEIJA, NIGERIA (Worthy News)– Explosions near two churchs — one in the town of Suleija near the Nigerian capital and another in the town of Damboa south of the state capital — have so far claimed the lives of six Nigerians.
Police spokesman Yemi Ajayi said two women who were seriously injured in the Suleija explosion Sunday later died. Last month, a blast in Damboa killed four children shortly after a suicide bomber blew himself up near the national police headquarters in Abuja.
“The children were playing in a compound near the church when the blast went off,” said Borno State Police Commissioner Jinjiri Abubakar, “killing the four and wounding another”.
Boko Haram, an Islamist sect that wants Islamic law imposed upon all of Nigeria, is suspected of being behind the bombings that began unabated during Nigeria’s parliamentary, presidential and state elections back in April.
