JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Scores of people remained missing and at least nine people were feared dead and 130 injured in Israel on Sunday after massive missile and drone strikes from Iran and Houthis in Yemen hit the Jewish nation.

Israel’s Home Front Command estimated that about 35 people are still missing as searches continued early Sunday.

Initial reports suggested that the toll climbed to seven, but as of Sunday morning, two additional bodies were recovered from a collapsed building in Bat Yam, a city on Israel’s Mediterranean Sea coast, Israeli sources said.

Among those killed were two women, one 10-year-old boy, and one 8-year-old girl, as well as 130 injured following the latest Iranian missile barrage, Israel’s leading rescue service, Magen David Adom (MDA), announced.

Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis confirmed Sunday that they targeted Israel in coordination with Iran, the first time an Iran-aligned group has publicly announced cooperation on attacks with Tehran.

The Yemeni group targeted central Israel’s Jaffa with several ballistic missiles in the last 24 hours, military spokesperson Yehya Sarea said in a televised address. “Triumphing for the oppressed Palestinian and Iranian peoples…This operation was coordinated with the operations carried out by the Iranian army against the criminal Israeli enemy,” he added.

BURNING TEHRAN

It came after Israel’s government made clear that “Tehran will burn” if Iran continues to attack Israel in response to its decision to eliminate Iran’s suspected nuclear weapons program.

Loud blasts were heard consistently across central Israel as Iran and Houthis in Yemen carried out a series of both missile and drone attacks on Israel, the Israeli military said.

Elsewhere, at least four or five people reportedly died and 24 were injured in northern Israel overnight, including in Tamra, an Arab city in northern Israel.

Footage obtained by Worthy News showed residents running after a blast. “The Islamic regime in Iran targeted it, a Muslim city. The regime bombed homes, mosques, and houses filled with Korans,” noted Amjad Taha, an expert in strategic political affairs in the Middle East.

“While Israel protects Arab Muslim citizens, Iran tries to wipe them out,” he added.

“And the most disgraceful part? Some Palestinians who clearly need more than just a doctor are celebrating the deaths of fellow Muslims in Israel, even those with Palestinian roots,” Taha stressed after pictures emerged of Palestinians celebrating the attacks in Gaza and Iranians dancing in Tehran.

NO PROTESTS?

“So, where are the protests? Will we see Muslims in London, Paris, or New York march against Iran for bombing their brothers while they prayed?” he wondered on social media platform X.

MDA said a 20-year-old woman died due to the direct impact of a ballistic missile on her northern Israel home.

Firefighters reportedly rescued four people from a three-story building in the North, but confirmed that two of them died on the scene. Later, another woman who was rescued from the building was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Several trapped people were rescued following a rocket fall in the Galilee, and emergency and rescue forces continue to work to rule out the presence of additional trapped people among the rubble and to bring the scene under control, The Jerusalem Post newspaper reported.

Besides those killed, several Israeli hospitals received scores of injured people, in seriouscondition.

Kaplan Hospital reported it had received 17 of the wounded, with one in serious condition.

STILL SINGING

Edith Wolfson Medical Center said it took in 32 of the wounded, three in serious condition.

Tel Aviv Ichilov Medical Center added that it received 25 of the wounded, including one baby.

Yet in defiance, footage verified by Worthy News emerged early Sunday of Jews singing and praying in a shelter.

“A message to the Islamists in Iran: No matter how hard you try or how brutal you become, you will never break this nation in Israel,” Taha, the expert, said about the video.

“A nation that sings and dances even as rockets fall, homes burn, and loved ones are lost. This is a nation that will not die, and one you will never defeat,” he assured.

“It is a nation with God in its heart and courage in its soul. God bless every one of them,” Taha stressed.
