JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – The United States and Israel signed a landmark joint statement last Friday launching a strategic partnership in artificial intelligence, research, and critical technologies under the U.S.-led Pax Silica initiative, underscoring a shared vision that economic cooperation can outweigh ideological divides.

The agreement was signed at the City of David in Jerusalem by the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg, alongside U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee, Israel’s National AI Directorate head Erez Eskel, and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.

Israel became the first of nine leading technology nations to sign a formal joint statement with Washington after joining Pax Silica last month. Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office said the move advances Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s goal of positioning Israel as a global leader in artificial intelligence.

Helberg described the partnership as a strategic unification of innovation ecosystems, stating that shared supply chains are “more powerful than shared ideology.” In an interview with i24NEWS, he said the October 7 attacks sharpened a regional divide between what he called an “old Middle East” led by Iran and its proxies, and a “new Middle East” defined by economic growth, technological cooperation, and pragmatic alliances involving Israel and Gulf states.

While declining to comment on diplomatic messaging related to Iran, Helberg emphasized expanding cooperation with Gulf countries — including some outside the Abraham Accords — driven by mutual interest in securing advanced technology supply chains.

Foreign Minister Sa’ar called the agreement proof of the depth of U.S.–Israel ties, saying Israel is “an indispensable asset” to America’s national security. Ambassador Huckabee echoed the sentiment, describing Israel as America’s “one true partner” in advancing joint research, development, and commercialization across strategic sectors.

Prophetic Perspective: Knowledge Increasing, Time Accelerating

For many Bible watchers, the rapid acceleration of artificial intelligence, global cooperation, and technological convergence echoes the prophetic words of Daniel 12:4, which foretold a time when “many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” What once unfolded over generations now advances in years—or even months—suggesting a compression of time itself. As nations race to secure supply chains, data, and innovation ecosystems, the pace of history appears to be quickening, aligning with the biblical picture of an end-of-age surge in knowledge and movement. In this light, initiatives like Pax Silica are not only geopolitical milestones but also signposts of a world rapidly approaching a prophesied climax, where human ingenuity accelerates even as divine purposes move toward fulfillment.
