JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned Tuesday that Israel remains fully prepared to resume operations against Iran, saying the military’s recent strike inside the Islamic Republic was only preparation for a far heavier blow if Tehran attacks Israel again.

Speaking during a visit to a command training exercise in northern Israel, Zamir said the Israel Defense Forces had maintained a high state of readiness across both defensive and offensive systems during the latest confrontation with Iran.

“The IDF maintained, and continues to maintain, immediate readiness and preparedness to resume operations in Iran,” Zamir said. “The strike we carried out in Iran was preparation for a much more significant and powerful blow. We are prepared to return and deliver another severe and deep strike against Iran.”

Zamir said Iran’s effort to impose new “equations” on Israel and alter the regional balance would fail.

“All our defense and attack arrays were alert and ready,” he said. “We intercepted the threats fired at us and struck Iran quickly and powerfully. We are ready to strike Iran again with another hard and deep blow. Iran’s attempt to set equations and change reality will fail.”

The remarks came as Israel continues to face a volatile multi-front security environment, with Iran and its regional proxies testing Israel’s defenses while Hezbollah remains entrenched in southern Lebanon.

Addressing the northern front, Zamir said IDF forces are continuing to strike Hezbollah positions and dismantle terrorist infrastructure along the border. He specifically pointed to operations in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon, where Israeli forces have targeted significant underground facilities used by Hezbollah as a fire base and command center.

“IDF forces continue to fight and attack along the front defense line in southern Lebanon, destroying terror infrastructure, including significant underground facilities in the Beaufort area, which Hezbollah used as a fire base and command center for combat management,” Zamir said.

He added that Israel would continue to deepen the damage to Hezbollah while defending the communities of northern Israel, many of which have endured months of rocket fire, evacuations, and ongoing security threats.

Zamir was accompanied during the visit by Maj. Gen. Nadav Lotan, Brig. Gen. Eliad Moati, Brig. Gen. Sharon Altit, and other senior commanders. The training exercise is being conducted under the leadership of the National Ground Training Center as part of the preparation program for battalion and company commanders.

The chief of staff also used the visit to stress the importance of leadership during Israel’s prolonged war on multiple fronts.

“During a prolonged multi-theater war, command courses serve as a central anchor in strengthening the IDF’s foundations and allow us to maintain the IDF as a professional army with norms, values, and high standards,” Zamir told the troops.

“You have experienced unprecedented combat in IDF history and represent the IDF’s significant command echelon,” he added. “The leadership and professionalism you demonstrate will determine the IDF’s ability to carry out its complex missions with excellence.”

Zamir concluded by telling commanders that their central mission is to lead soldiers, defeat Israel’s enemies, and uphold IDF values in battle.

“Ahead of you lies the most important task: to lead soldiers, defeat our enemies in battle, while adhering to operational norms and IDF values,” he said.

The comments signal that Israel is not treating the latest confrontation with Iran as closed, but rather as part of a broader strategic struggle against Tehran and its terror network across the region.
