WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News) – Federal agents have disrupted a chilling alleged terror plot targeting UFC Freedom 250, held Sunday night on the White House South Lawn — coinciding with President Trump’s 80th birthday weekend. As of Monday, five individuals were in custody, with 23 people identified as part of a broader suspected network.
According to officials, the alleged plan involved launching explosive-laden drones at buildings near the event to trigger a mass evacuation — then funneling crowds toward a pre-positioned sniper team. A “second wave” purportedly called for storming the White House gate.
The FBI first learned of the threat on June 10. The investigation ultimately spanned at least 12 FBI field offices after agents uncovered Signal chats in which suspects allegedly discussed pre-operational planning, including a planned gathering in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on June 12 or 13. One suspect allegedly stated the targets were “capitalist elites,” billionaires, and politicians tied to AIPAC donations.
FBI Director Kash Patel credited swift, multi-state coordination: “Multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold.”
The event drew approximately 4,300 attendees, including 1,200 active-duty service members.
Vice President JD Vance, reacting Tuesday on Fox & Friends, called it “very, very dark stuff,” adding: “A lot of my Democratic colleagues in Washington have got to look themselves in the mirror and say, why is so much of this political violence coming from our side of the spectrum?”
