KUWAIT CITY (Worthy News) – Kuwait said Tuesday that Iranian forces had again struck power-generation and water-desalination facilities, marking the fourth consecutive day of attacks on infrastructure essential to the Gulf nation’s survival.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said the latest strikes occurred Monday night, sparking fires and damaging several facilities. Emergency crews contained the fires, while technical teams began assessing the damage and repairing affected systems.

Some electricity-generating units were reportedly shut down as a precaution, although Kuwaiti authorities did not immediately announce widespread disruptions to water or electrical service.

The repeated attacks have raised serious concerns because Kuwait, an arid nation with few natural freshwater resources, depends on desalination for roughly 90% of its drinking water. Damage to the country’s tightly connected electricity and water systems could quickly affect homes, hospitals and other essential services.

Iranian attacks have now targeted Kuwaiti desalination and power facilities on four successive days, according to the ministry. An earlier strike caused a fire and forced several power units offline, prompting Kuwait to condemn what it described as an assault on vital civilian infrastructure.

The attacks come amid an escalating regional conflict between Iran and the United States. Tehran has launched missiles and drones toward Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan while claiming it is targeting American military interests and countries supporting U.S. operations.

However, the strikes on desalination and electricity facilities have expanded the conflict beyond military installations, placing civilian populations and basic necessities increasingly at risk.

Kuwaiti authorities said repair crews were working to restore the damaged sites and maintain the country’s water and electricity supplies.
