Is the ‘Digital Tattoo’ a Precursor of Things to Come?


LOS ANGELES (Worthy News)– Last week, a company introduced ‘digital tattoos’ worn on the wrist to protect access your cell phone.

VivaLnk, a Silicon Valley technology company, introduced the world’s first commercial eSkin electronics product, Digital Tattoo. The eSkin technology was developed in collaboration with Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects group.

The nickel size, paper thin adhesive Digital Tattoo provides electronic authentication to unlock your cell phone and is worn on the wrist. They last approximately five days. The tattoos introduced last week, come in packs of 10 – about a month’s supply – for $9.99.

Digital Tattoo is the first commercialized product of its kind. VivaLnk anticipates other products utilizing eSkin(TM) technology in health care, security, entertainment, and numerous other fields.
