Tupelo, MS — An organization which uses boycotts to influence buying habits of TV advertisers is turning its efforts toward the Internet. American Family Association is developing two new websites to help in the battle against TV sex, violence, profanity, and anti-Christian bigotry.

The group has begun OneMillionMoms.com and OneMillionDads.com in an effort to reach TV sponsors with their message. “We are now in the process of securing members for the new websites,” said Donald E. Wildmon, president of AFA. “Receiving a million e-mails from consumers will have a major impact on sponsors of these programs,” he said.

Wildmon said his group will monitor television, then alert members of OneMillionMoms.com and OneMillionDads.com to contact sponsors. AFA will continue to use the traditional methods of mail and phone. “The new approach gives us more flexibility,” he said.

AFA is one of the oldest pro-family organizations, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
