Atheist “Church” Sunday Assembly Launched

WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News)– Thirty-five towns worldwide have launched new Sunday Assemblies, according to The Christian Post.

British comedian Sanderson Jones — one of the founders of the Assemblies that began in London — said there are many benefits in attending church, yet he rejects the worship of God.

“So many things that I like about church, such as the community, and the singing, but there was one thing I didn’t like and that was God.

“If you think about church, there’s very little that’s bad. It’s singing awesome songs, hearing interesting talks, thinking about improving yourself and helping other people and doing that in a community with wonderful relationships. What part of that is not to like?”

Apparently the part about God, at least according to Jones and his kindred spirits

Congregations of the Assemblies — also known as the Atheist Church — average from 60 to 80 members.

19
people are currently praying.
