ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA (ANS) — Hindu radicals recently attacked some Christian students in India.

According to a story on www.persecution.in, the incident occurred on July 29 at Miryalguda in the Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh.

According to the story, two female Christian students were distributing Christian literature to college students, when three Hindu radicals suddenly arrived on the campus driving a motorbike.

Without warning, they manhandled the Christian girls, and grabbed the books and other Christian material. The story added that they also took three boxes of books from the girls, and dumped them into a ditch nearby and set fire to them. The website reported that the attackers even threw stones at a Christian house nearby.

According to the web site, the attackers later went to the local police station and filed a complaint. They alleged that the students were distributing Christian literature with a view to converting the college students.

When local Christian leaders heard about the incident, they in turn complained to the police about the attackers.
