Israel blasts Iran deal as ‘dark day in history’


(Worthy News) – Israeli leaders across the political spectrum condemned in stark apocalyptic language the Iranian nuclear pact announced by the United States and world powers Tuesday, calling it a historic mistake that frees Iran to sponsor global terror while assembling the information and materials to build a nuclear weapon.

“Iran is going to receive a sure path to nuclear weapons,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Tuesday. “Many of the restrictions that were supposed to prevent it from getting there will be lifted.”

With the lifting of economic sanctions, Netanyahu warned, “Iran will get a jackpot, a cash bonanza of hundreds of billions of dollars, which will enable it to continue to pursue its aggression and terror.”

Netanyahu’s hardline coalition partner, education minister Naftali Bennett said, “Today a terrorist nuclear superpower is born, and it will go down as one of the darkest days in world history.” [ Source ]

Netanyahu: Israel ‘not bound’ by Iran deal, will defend itself

“Israel is not bound by this deal with Iran, because Iran continues to seek our destruction,” Netanyahu says, adding that “we will always defend ourselves.”

Netanyahu calls the Iranian regime “the foremost sponsor of international terrorism,” and attacks the accord for “gambling that in ten years time Iran’s terrorist regime can change, without removing any incentive for it to do so.”

Netnayahu recounts how last Friday Rouhani attended an al-Quds day rally in Tehran where “a frenzied mob burned Israeli and American flags.”

“Now this didn’t happen four years ago, it happened four days ago,” he says, adding that Iran’s “aggression was on display for everyone to see.” [ Source ]
