France Pushing Security Council Resolution Calling for End to Israeli Presence in West Bank

(Worthy News) – The Palestinian Authority welcomed French efforts to lead an international initiative aimed at ending Israel’s control of the the West Bank and resolving the Israeli-Arab conflict, Al-Jazeera reported on Monday.
According to Al-Jazeera, France will submit a resolution on the issue to the United Nations Security Council next month, after making some amendments to a current draft.
In a broadcast on Voice of Palestine radio, the Palestinian Authority’s envoy to the U.N. Riyad Mansour said France was committed to restarting the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians by September. [ Source ]
