(Worthy News) - The state of California attempted to shut down a baker after its Christian owner refused to make cakes for same-sex weddings, saying it went against her religious beliefs.

California's Dept. of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) filed a surprise motion for a temporary restraining order—giving the owner of Tastries Baker, Cathy Miller less than 12 hours to prepare.

"This un-professionalism is just another example of the LGBT activists and their government allies' crusade to crush Cathy because of her Christian beliefs," said Charles LiMandri, president and chief counsel for the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund (FCDF). [ Source: CBN News (Read More...) ]

  1. Child Protection Services usually does the same, giving almost no time for a (persecuted along with truly abusive parents) to find an attorney and/or prepare to meet their accusers in Court.

The same is true in matters of alleged Domestic violence where a temporary restraining order might be granted in such short times.

Remember, sometimes all it takes is for a teen whose Dad can't afford the rent, for governmental "advocates" to kick into action like that. It was way back in former President Clinton's time that he signed an Executive Order declaring that parents/guardians not having health care coverage for their child(ren) amounts to parental neglect and the State CPS's should see it that way. Some states obeyed it and some ignored it but as EO's unchallenged become law if they remain unchallenged, now we have Obamacare. Bet no one told you it from that vantage point before.

What's amazing is that this temp order was overturned, and in California.
