Israeli army chief: US exit from Syria significant, but mustn't overreact

(Worthy News) - Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot said Sunday that US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw US troops from Syria shouldn't be “exaggerated” as it has little bearing on Israel's activity in the region since the Israeli military has been operating independently in the war-torn country for years.

On Wednesday, President Trump announced the withdrawal of all US troops from Syria, which has been sharply criticized by many, especially by America's Kurdish allies, who may well face a Turkish assault once US troops leave, and had been staunchly opposed by the Pentagon.

“The IDF has operated independently in this region for decades … the arrival of the Russians at the end of 2015 created a new challenge, and made it necessary for us to establish a mechanism to prevent friction,” the chief of staff said. [ Source: Ynet News (Read More...) ]

  1. I don't see how a nearly destroyed Syria can be any threat to Israel. Syria has allot of rebuilding to do and doesn't have the finances to be involved in another war .......... unless Israel wants to force the issue, of course.

  2. Whether U S withdraw there troop or not Israel shoul know that the Lord who defend Israel is still alive. He neither sleep nor slumber.

  3. Trump leaving on the account of being allied with Iran was a very good idea when we leave Syria we also leave those countries allied and mentioned with the Ezekiel 37,38 group that comes against Jerusalem. Eventually we must also break ties also with Russia and Putin. We were there because O bama got the USA involved to defeat ISIL Iran was in the mix.Trump just got US out of anything that Iran was apart of. GOD will take of Isreals enemies in a miracaus way. No matter and Ezekiel 37,38 will happen.
