(Worthy News) – An Israeli social media influencer is planning a million-man march on Israel’s Supreme Court before new elections in Spring 2020, which, if successful, will be the largest demonstration of the popular will in the nation’s history.

Harel Noff says he is not supporting Netanyahu or any other Israeli official, but only the idea of representational democracy in Israeli society.

“The feeling among the public is that it doesn’t matter who they vote for as the democratic process is completely out of their control,” Noff claimed. “Any law passed by the elected officials can be vetoed by the Supreme Court based on a subjective interpretation of the bill.”

“The notion of democracy is non-existentm [in Israel] as there is a ruling class of unelected officials running the show,” he explained further.

Noff, who is generally right-leaning, claims that many Israelis and Jews in the diaspora have promised to return to Israel just to attend the event.
