(Worthy News) – Palestinian leadership circled the wagons Tuesday against Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner’s long-awaited “Deal of the Century” unveil, having previously called for a “day of rage” and an “escalation of resistance” against Israel for the plan.

Thousands of protestors flocked in Gaza as Trump and Netanyahu released the plan during a press conference at the White House Tuesday morning, as a rare combined meeting between the Gaza-based Hamas, West Bank-based Fatah and PA, the PLO, and Iran-backed Islamic Jihad was set to take place.

“The transition period has ended with all of the political, security, and financial obligations in it towards the Israeli occupation – and also to take all the necessary steps to encourage and escalate the resistance and the struggle against the occupation in all its forms and manners,” the PLO said.

The meeting between all Palestinian factions under the leadership of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was rare, as the groups are mostly engaged in rivalry for the top spot in Palestinian leadership, Hamas declaring “we are united” against Israel and Trump.
